The House today voted on the most recent iteration of the the legislature doing their voters a favor by giving those voters yet another chance to vote away their own rights by making it more difficult to set the terms and conditions for their government.
HCR 3003 was debated on the floor of the House today. Proponents of the amendment argued that it would protect the Constitution from being amended too easily, while opponents argued that it would make it too difficult for the people to amend the Constitution.
The resolution passed the House by a vote of 65 to 28. It will now be sent to the Senate for consideration. If the Senate approves the resolution, it will be placed on the ballot for the 2026 general election.
