Senate Should Reconsider School Lunch Vote
Scaled down $6 million lunch-debt anti-shaming bill should be a no-brainer.
Back in January, I wrote about how school is mandatory and so school lunches should be too.
The original bill to provide free lunches for all students had a price tag of $90 million.
For those who oppose the concept of covering school lunches, one question should be asked:
Why do you support spending $12,000 per student per year on education, but don’t want to spend a few hundred bucks per student to ensure students don’t have growling stomachs in class?
This is a case of confusing “cheap” with “conservative”.
