SB 2012: Committee Reverses "Sneaky Trick" Amendment
Just moments ago, the House Appropriations Committee reversed its Monday action of inserting the intent of SB 2208 into the Department of Transportation Budget.
On Monday, I wrote about the sneaky tricks being played on the Department of Transportation budget (SB 2012), whereby the House Appropriations Committee resurrected the intent of SB 2208 into the DOT budget.

In an illustration of how bad ideas are never really dead even if they are voted down if certain legislators are willing to be sneaky enough, language attempting to control the ability of local governments to represent the wishes of their constituents is back.
In a swift action with no debate, the same committee reconsidered that action and voted on a 20-0 vote to reverse that amendment.
