South Dakota Has Fallen

Moments ago, the South Dakota House of Representatives passed the bill to neuter their counties and replicate North Dakota’s law requiring their PUC (Public Utility Commission) to over-ride county ability to regulate and protect their residents.

If the citizens of South Dakota do not like this result, their state offers a referral option just like North Dakota. But that will take either a lot of volunteers, or a lot of money - preferably both.

Referred Law: This is a petition to prevent a measure passed by the Legislature from becoming effective.
