Passage of SB 2166 Puts Governor On The Hot Seat For Corporate Welfare Reform
Yesterday, the House passed an amended version of SB 2166 by an over-whelming margin of 75-17 with the majority of the NO votes coming from Democrats, and a few Fargo Republicans.
There were a few changes to the bill since the Senate voted 38-8 in favor of the bill.
Now, two things can happen:
1. Either the Senate can concur with the House changes and send it to the governor's desk.
2. The Senate can force a Conference Committee to work out the differences between the House and Senate versions.
