Committee Says No To Price Controls On Prescription Drugs
Senate Human Services issued a 5-1 DO NOT PASS recommendation on SB 2031
Update: the bill was defeated on the Senate floor 14-33.
Last month, I wrote you about Senate Bill 2031 which seeks to place socialist price controls on prescription drugs, and even tie North Dakota’s price control law to Canadian laws and prices.
After extensive testimony, including my own, the committee gave the bill a 5-1 DO NOT PASS.
It appears that the committee, which is generally one of the more liberal committees in the legislature got the message that this was just a bad idea.
The bill now goes on to the full Senate.
