In this hour of the KFYR Kafe, we discuss our new project to help residents in Bismarck and Burleigh County have their voices and concerns about the Summit Carbon Solutions carbon dioxide pipeline - specifically as it relates to its proximity to rural residential developments outside of Bismarck and the impact on Bismarck’s future growth.

We have added an option for those outside of Burleigh County as well.
In the second half of the hour, we discussed the passage of Pension Reform (HB 1040) in the Senate. We neglected to mention that the vote to approve was on the policy. The Senate then sent the bill back to the Appropriations Committee. So there will be more votes on the bill on the Senate side.
This is a positive and quick turn around since February when it appeared that the Senate was going to take a hard-line position against fundamental reforms.
If this pension reform can ultimately pass, it will be due in large part to Governor Burgum’s efforts to tackle it as a flagship issue. It is one MAJOR issue that conservatives should be happy for his involvement to promote.
