I had a chance to guest host for Daryl Lies this afternoon on KFYR Radio in the afternoon. I invited a surprise guest, Former State Senator Joel Heitkamp on to discuss how many of the positions the Republican Party of North Dakota takes today on issues like property taxes, K-12 funding, and child care programs were once stronghold positions of the Democratic-NPL.
While not wanting to admit that the Republican Party has made the Democratic-NPL obsolete by adopting their positions, Heitkamp does admit that much of the Dem-NPL’s historical agenda has been implemented by those who run and serve under the banner of the North Dakota Republican Party.
